A Comprehensive Analysis of Skin Laxity and Buttock Shaping After Liposuction

Will liposuction cause loose skin and wrinkles?

Human skin has good elasticity and can adjust its tightness as needed. For women who haven't given birth multiple times, recovery to pre-pregnancy size is usually complete within 3 months after liposuction. Just like a first-time mother's pre-pregnancy waistline quickly returns to its pre-pregnancy state, this also requires proper post-operative care, including consistent use of a suitable elastic abdominal binder.

During liposuction, some subcutaneous blood vessels are damaged, reducing skin nutrition. Excess skin needs to retract, and once the blood vessels have re-established, the skin in the liposuction area will surprisingly have a comfortable tightness.

Can the shape of the buttocks be changed?

The buttocks play a crucial role in the body's structure, connecting the upper and lower body. Large, fleshy buttocks appear overly plump, lack elasticity, have an excessively large circumference, and sag downwards and outwards, sometimes forming an inverted triangle or square shape. There is no clear boundary between the sides of the buttocks and the sides of the thighs; excessively large buttocks can make the legs appear shorter.

The buttocks are composed of a large amount of muscle and fat from the sacrum and the upper end of the femur, with fat often making up a significant proportion. Deep within the gluteal muscles are nerves and blood vessels leading to the lower limbs, making damage to them relatively rare.

The focus of buttock liposuction is to reduce the circumference of the buttocks, lifting and shaping sagging areas, narrowing the width of the buttocks, appropriately adjusting the height of the buttocks, reducing fat in the upper buttocks to create a smooth, rounded curve from the waist to the buttocks, and reducing fat at the root of the thighs to make the thighs appear more beautiful and slender. The surgery involves making two 5mm incisions at the creases of the buttocks and thighs, and then evenly and symmetrically removing fat. Special care is taken to properly handle the transition surfaces adjacent to the thighs and waist to avoid creating "steps" on the body. This results in a smooth, rounded curve from the waist to the buttocks, reducing fat at the root of the thighs and making the thighs appear more beautiful and slender. After recovery, the surgical incision will disappear into the folds of the skin and will not be noticeable.
