The joyful transformation brought about by weight loss: rebuilding confidence and social charm

Losing weight is definitely a happy thing, as long as you're thin.

Seeing this—yes, successful weight loss is happy.

Let's talk about the first happiness: once you start losing weight smoothly, you suddenly become popular.

Being popular isn't just about popularity, but more accurately, it's about receiving a lot of praise. Not only do women pay more attention to me, but men also pay extra attention.

First, I'm constantly asked how I lost weight. Just introducing my experiences, feelings, and creative methods can take one or two hours. And the audience isn't just overweight people; people of average build, and even slender women, are all very interested. Weight loss is truly a topic that everyone loves to hear about and everyone enjoys talking about.

Everyone wants to share their successful weight loss experiences and lessons learned, and they look forward to your criticism or suggestions. When you praise someone's method as effective, their cheeks flush, and they're very happy. When you point out that someone's method is ineffective, they are eager to hear your opinion.

Thinking about it, this is perfectly understandable. It concerns something that directly affects everyone, so of course they listen attentively. Every word you say is essential information for them; and you yourself are both "proof of a miracle" and a "weight loss mentor" to them.

I myself am completely immersed in the anime and game (OTAKU) industry, with neither interest nor knowledge of sports or TV dramas, so I'm not very good at general conversation. I often struggle to find common ground when chatting with ordinary people, especially women.

But now, I don't have to rack my brains for topics; people talk to me endlessly, begging me to elaborate.

Take my own experience, for example. I was discussing weight loss with an acquaintance in the airport waiting room when, without realizing it, a large crowd suddenly gathered around us. It seems that the topic of weight loss, and my successful example, definitely have the power to attract people.

The second joy is the gain of confidence.

Weight loss results are clearly visible through changes in body shape. Successful weight loss is reflected in undeniable data such as weight and measurements. Simply standing in front of a mirror, you can clearly see the changes, and others can see them too.

Seeing the change firsthand gives you confidence that your approach was correct and your efforts were worthwhile. Experiences where results are so clearly visible are rare.

In contrast, it's difficult to get an objective and fair evaluation in anything else. Even what you consider your strengths are hard to prove in terms of actual excellence or ability. Some will praise you, while others will remain completely indifferent.

Those who praise you may be flattering you; those who remain indifferent may simply dislike you as a person. These feelings can make us uneasy, and once this unease sets in, it can spread to other aspects of life.

Unlike this, weight loss is much more transparent. Everything can be expressed in numbers, providing a solid basis for our confidence.

After three months of effort, I lost 15 kilograms.

Without hesitation, I can say that my self-esteem improved dramatically, and I gained confidence.

Only weight loss can be linked to self-esteem, becoming a source of confidence, without any worry that such success will hurt others, push them out of the competition, or use them as stepping stones. Because this success is not built on the failures of others, we can sincerely and loudly proclaim: "Let's work together!"
